The Design Drafter position:

We have an opportunity for a Design Drafter to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for providing innovative and high-quality products in an environment where your ideas and expertise drive meaningful improvements

What you will do:

• ·       Use CAD to design and draft parts, assemblies, and automation solutions.
• ·       Capture geometry and measurements with precise 3D scanning equipment.
• ·       Develop and improve jigs, fixtures, and processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• ·       Use CAM to develop and verify machining programs (up to 3-axis machining).
• ·       Provide cross-functional support for CNC machining, lathe and turret punching operations.
• ·       Work with others to resolve production challenges and to improve processes.

Qualified candidates will possess the following skills/qualities:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficient in CAD (3+ years, Autodesk Inventor is a plus)/CAM software, MS Excel, and working with tolerances in metric and imperial units.
• Experience in independent operation of lathes and mills; CNC experience a plus.
• A creative, detail-oriented mindset with a positive, team-focused approach.
• A demonstrated desire to continuously learn and develop your skills.
